I offer advice and support in the development and management of networks in the area of sustainable development. Networks provide an invaluable opportunity to exchange information, knowledge, ideas and practical implementation experiences in an informal and in-depth manner. However, developing and successfully running networks is a challenging task that needs professional support and guidance.
For more than 12 years, I have managed the largest European network on sustainable development strategies and policies, the European Sustainable Development Network (ESDN), with about 400 members coming from more than 40 European countries.
Networks need specific approaches and management tools to be useful and effective. Based on my experiences in running networks, I have developed the “TEAM approach”, which stands for Trust, Exchange on a regular basis, Active learning, and Meetings with interactive exchange.
My long-time experience with managing a large European network, mastering the practical day-to-day work and challenges in keeping a network alive, organizing network exchanges and events, as well as keeping network members informed and entertained, have equipped me with the necessary practical know-how to support you and your network as effectively as possible.
